Hydril® WBSR-X & WBSR-LX Rams
The WBSR-X and WBSR-LX Series Rams represent the latest generation in shear-and-seal performance for demanding drilling environments. The WBSR-X expands capability across pipe, casing, and wireline applications—including larger tubulars in 15,000 psi environments—while the WBSR-LX improves shearing efficiency for heavy-wall drill pipe. Both offer drop-in replacement benefits for existing 18-15 RBOP systems using 22-5K operators.
Wireline Blind Shear Ram (WBSR)
The wireline blind shear is a special type of blind shear ram. Its distinctive design keeps the upper and lower blades in very close proximity to each other, allowing the unit to shear small cables along with the pipe.
Wireline Casing Shear Ram (WCSR-X)
The wireline blind shear is a special type of blind shear ram. Its distinctive design allows the unit to shear small cables along with large diameter casing. The WCSR-X was developed to cut the most difficult pipes, including super duplex stainless steel and heavy walled casing.
Hydril Variable Bore Ram (HVR)
The HVR has a universal seal-off feature that is especially useful on a drill string that does not have a constant diameter over its length or when multiple diameters of drill pipe are used.
