Job Summary
As a Talent Acquisition Leader with HMH, you will support hiring managers in preparing and delivering against their people priorities to define recruiting needs, turning business strategy into actionable recruitment strategy and building proactive recruitment plans to address critical talent gaps.

As a Talent Acquisition Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering end-to-end recruitment initiatives to attract and grow a diverse employee pool including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, background screening, drug screening, offers and first day logistics
  • Collaborating with the business to create our Talent Acquisition strategy and delivery
  • Continuous measurement of goals, initiatives and outcomes
  • Utilizing a lean mindset to identify process and technology improvements
  • Assisting with the development of job marketing content and communications to meet business needs and effectively reach target audience
  • Create and engage your own talent pool for future critical roles through active and passive sourcing methods
  • Advising on effective tools for talent pipelining enabling the ongoing attraction of relevant candidates, providing market intelligence and branding campaigns
  • Connecting and collaborating with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to ensure a fit for purpose attraction campaign is adopted
  • Planning and hosting the HMH US summer internship program as well as university and industry recruiting events as needed

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate a successful track record in recruitment and talent attraction for both exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Have an expert understanding of recruiting methods, productivity and modern attraction tools demonstrating proficiency in TAS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Demonstrable track record of having an agile and adaptive mindset
  • Have excellent communication skills sufficient for the interaction with cross functional stakeholders and candidates at a variety of levels
  • Show an ability to influence decision making at a senior level and quickly gain trusted advisor status as a subject matter expert
  • Demonstrate a true growth mindset to bring creativity and direction to the organization whilst retaining best practice
  • Have a good understanding of Diversity and Inclusion best practices

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or HS Diploma/equivalent with related experience and/or training)
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a recruiting role managing 25+ open requisitions at any given time
  • Be currently located and authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
