Role Summary:

The Service Engineer will work directly with customers and internal partners to provide solutions and improvements to products in the aftermarket. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some-long term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to the DSE Repair team through the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Disposition Customer Owned Equipment (COE) on-site and off-site for Drill-through or BOP equipment on inspection and recertification activities for SIG
  • Work closely with the Services CFL / PM / Operations team to ensure targets are met
  • Develop and assist in creating global inspection and repair procedures
  • Support new technologies for recording and dispositioning of Drilling equipment
  • Provide technical support for both internal and external customers on issues related to Repair & Re-manufacture
  • Lead as a presenter or reviewer in technical or program reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement processes, tools and standards
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments to Regional and HQ leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve products and feedback improvements to the design teams
  • Develop tools / processes that drive efficiency and clarity
  • Ability to travel to offshore and onshore locations for customer support. Work non-standard hours in support of rig down situations


  • Bachelor of Science in engineering – Mechanical
  • Minimum 3years of relevant experience in aftermarket or repair engineering role
  • Minimum 3years of experience in a customer facing role
  • Familiar with codes and standards for pressure control and drilling equipment (API, DNV, ABS, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally for offshore customer support on-board rig
