Job Title: PMO Leader

Job Summary
The PMO Leader will lead a team of project managers, oversee and protect projects financials, improve upon and maintain existing project management methodologies, standards, tools and governance while utilizing existing and new disciplined processes to successfully scope, plan, estimate and deliver approved projects for O&R, upgrades and new equipment’s.

The PMO Leader will be responsible to lead, inspire, grow and retain a group of professional project managers and foster a highly innovative, effective, and successful team. Uphold processes for project management while mentoring and training team members, collaborate with Service Management for smooth handover, serve as a point of escalation for project teams, assist to identify and resolve issues, leading cross-functional rigor, alignment for improving project financials.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safety culture
  • The PMO Leader has overall responsibility of the entire project portfolio (O&R, upgrades, New equipment’s)
  • Be responsible for building strong long-term relationship with customers
  • Lead project management process standardization, training, and talent development
  • Facilitate project intake, staff forecasting and prioritization of the Project Backlog
  • Advise and assist leaders and teams on the best use of portfolio, programs, project management tools, and resource management disciplines.
  • Lead cross-functional rigor, alignment for improving project financials
  • Responsible for ensuring there is a consistent application of project and program management methodologies, controls and standards being applied by the team
  • Responsible for risk management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in managing Project Managers
  • 20+ years Oil Industry experience
  • Familiar with Well Control Systems and its basics operations

Desired Characteristics

  • Engineering degree preferred, or commensurate working and professional experience
  • Track record of identifying, developing and executing business critical initiatives and strategies
  • Possesses strong passion for ensuring voice of customer is included in solutions.
  • Strong clear-thinking abilities and ability to communicate effectively with customers, Project Managers, Field Service personnel.
  • Strong knowledge on HMHW products and Technologies
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally.
  • Strong Decision Making skills
